Drama, drama, drama!

I love the challenges iheartfaces posts every week; as they send me rifling through my folio in search of the perfect image to capture the weekly theme. When I ran across this pic from one of my spring weddings I smiled thinking of how excited this little lady & her brother were to have bubbles keeping them company while they waited for the ceremony to begin. They were striving to best one another with bigger bubbles :) You can practically hear her measuring the bubble coming off the end of her wand. And while they were way off schedule with the bubble blowout it was perfect timing for my busy lens to capture their glee. Enjoy! My Ms. Fliss

Meet my little Felicity Joyce. I love this picture for three reasons:

1. I adore how you can see both my own & her brother's silhouette in her eyes.
2. Her eyes show her age (3 mos), because now at 6 mos they are green instead of blue :)
3. It's such a beautifully serene shot born out of an everyday moment with her in the carseat.

Shana Rae is this week's guest judge for the I heart FACES weekly photo challenge. I am so grateful to Amy & Angie for the introduction to Shana's awesome work. I love, love, love textures and am constantly capturing & creating my own. They bring such life to any & all images they touch. One day I hope I am half as good in application as Shana is, cause her stuff kicks butt!

Choosing an entry for this week was REALLY tough, cause I have a lot of quirky images with textured detailing, but I think this one stands the best chance at catching Shana's eye. It's about time.

Well, I'm finally getting a blog going. It's been a long time coming & there is still so much to do. I've started this one up to simply get the hang of it before I launch an official one for Photographically Ever After.

LOOK AT ME, I'M FLOATING!

I Heart FACES is hosting their weekly challenge again :) It's all about the best face pic you've grabbed in the last month or so. This shot is from our little Felicity enjoying her very first swing ride at the Hemisfair Park downtown a few days after Christmas. We were trying our best to make the most of Daddy's holiday vacation so we busted out the big guns and brought my two cameras & our digital video camcorder to capture all the fun.

* She was so curious as to how she could hover above the ground without anyone holding her.

I captured this joyful little mug with my trusty Pentax K200D. Gotta love that grin :) Simply gah-juss.
